Students Excel in Young Arts Open Competition

Thomas Clarkson Academy is proud to announce the success of its students in the Young Arts Open Competition, organised by Wisbech and Fenland Museum and supported by 20Twenty Productions CIC. The competition, which featured generous sponsorship from Wisbech Rotary, offered cash prizes for 'Winner' and 'Highly Commended' entries.
Among the prize winners were:

Julienne N (Year 12): Awarded 'Winner' for the 16-18 age category, receiving a £40 cash prize.

Megan W (Year 12): Awarded 'Highly Commended' in the 16-18 age category, receiving a £20 cash prize.

Lexi L (Year 10): Awarded 'Highly Commended' in the 12-15 age category, receiving a £20 cash prize.
Mrs Loosemore, Head of Art at Thomas Clarkson Academy, expressed her pride in the students' achievements, stating, "We are so proud of the 26 entries we submitted for the Open Arts this year. It was a real pleasure to see the wonderful artistic talents of our students displayed in the community."
The competition saw an impressive 26 pieces of artwork submitted by TCA students, ranging from Year 8 to Year 13. These included 19 pieces of photography, 4 pieces of A-Level work, and the 3 winning pieces from the academy's own art competition.
The selected artwork was showcased at the Wisbech and Fenland Museum from 5th April 2025 to 19th April 2025, providing a platform for young artists to display their creativity and talent.
Thomas Clarkson Academy congratulates all the participants and looks forward to continuing to support and celebrate the artistic achievements of its students.
