Students Explore Diverse Career Paths at Health and Care Career Expo

Year 10 students with an interest in the Health Care sector attended the Health and Care Career Expo in Peterborough. The Expo provided students with valuable insights into the wide array of jobs available within the NHS, extending far beyond the clinical setting.

Students had access to a wealth of information from industry experts, covering fields such as clinical psychology, emergency first response, critical surgery, plumbing, and building planning. Careers Leader Mrs. Smith commented, "I believe many students were pleasantly surprised to learn that jobs available within the NHS stretch far beyond medicine and healthcare and are available to all students. It is trips like these that equip students with choices and options for their future plans."

One student shared their experience, saying, "I really liked having the opportunity to talk to professionals that specialised in the career path I was interested in." Another student added, "Entertaining – I learnt a lot about the different careers."

The Expo served as an eye-opening experience for the students, broadening their understanding of the diverse career opportunities within the NHS and helping them make informed decisions about their future.
