The theme for this year's event was 'make time for young carers' and we were delighted to create our academy's first Young Carer Ambassadors this week, after two Year 10 students were successful in their applications.

Organised via the Carers Trust, the annual event highlights young people who have a caring role at home as well as being full-time students.

Our group of around 40 young carers spent some time together and took part in a cooking session and an art session. They also had a special lunch provided by our catering team.
