Opportunity for Students to Volunteer for the Summer Reading Challenge

Wisbech Library is offering an exciting opportunity for students to become Summer Reading Challenge (SRC) Volunteers this summer. This initiative aims to inspire young readers and foster a love for books within the community.

Volunteers will work closely with library staff, engaging in a variety of tasks such as promoting the Challenge to families, signing up children, listening to them talk about the books they have read, and handing out reward stickers. Additionally, volunteers will support staff in running events and activities and help prepare for the Award Ceremonies scheduled for September.

This volunteer role provides students with a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience while making a positive impact in their local community. Interested students can collect an application form from Miss Robinson in the academy library during break or lunch, or visit Wisbech Library in person.

This initiative not only benefits the young readers but also allows volunteers to develop important skills and contribute to a meaningful cause.
