Young Arts Open Competition

Students from Thomas Clarkson Academy have entered the Young Arts Open Competition, a free, open-submission art competition for young people aged 18 and under living, working, or attending a school or college in Fenland, West Norfolk, or South Holland. The competition is organised by Wisbech and Fenland Museum and supported by 20Twenty Productions CIC.
This year, the competition features generous sponsorship from Wisbech Rotary, offering a £40 cash prize for the 'Winner' and a £20 cash prize for 'Highly Commended' entries.
Thomas Clarkson Academy has submitted an impressive 26 pieces of artwork from students in Year 8 to Year 13. Amongst these submissions are 19 pieces of photography, 4 pieces of A-Level work, and the 3 winning pieces from the academy's own art competition.
The Wisbech and Fenland Museum strives to display all entries, but if the number of submissions exceeds capacity, a selection process will be undertaken to choose the pieces for display. Selected artwork will be showcased at the museum from Saturday, 5th April 2025 to Saturday, 19th April 2025 during normal open hours. Entry to the exhibition is free for those presenting a valid proof of entry postcard, which has been distributed to the students whose work has been entered, covering entry for them and their guests.
This event promises to be a wonderful celebration of young artistic talent in the region, and Thomas Clarkson Academy is thrilled to be part of it.
