Free Holiday Activities and Food Programme for Christmas 2024

The Cambridgeshire Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme is set to offer free holiday scheme places for eligible primary and secondary school children and young people during the upcoming Christmas school holidays. Funded by the Department for Education, the programme will run from 23 December 2024, providing up to 16 hours of free attendance at registered holiday schemes.

The HAF Programme aims to support families by offering a range of fun experiences, along with healthy meals and snacks for the children. This initiative is designed to ensure that children have access to enriching activities and nutritious food during the holiday period.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Families receiving income-related free school meals (FSM).

  • Families where FSM eligible and non-eligible children live in the same household.

  • Families just managing financially (subject to referral from a professional).

  • Recently arrived refugee families.
