The eagerly anticipated opening of The Wisbech Academy (TWA) is set to take place in September 2024. The school, which will be temporarily housed in modular building, aims to provide a high-quality education for local students while a permanent facility is under construction.

State-of-the-Art Temporary Accommodation

TWA’s temporary accommodation will consist of spacious classrooms, a multi-use IT suite, a restaurant, a library, changing rooms, and a multipurpose hall. Despite the unconventional setting, school officials are committed to ensuring a conducive learning environment for all students.

Sharing Resources with The Thomas Clarkson Academy (TCA)

In an innovative move, TWA will share specialist classrooms with its neighbouring school, The Thomas Clarkson Academy (TCA). These shared facilities include technology classrooms and fully equipped science labs.

Future Expansion Plans

Looking ahead, TWA has ambitious plans for growth. In the second phase of its temporary accommodation, an additional storey of classrooms will be added. This expansion will include a dedicated science lab, providing students with hands-on experience in biology, chemistry, and physics.

Parents and students alike are excited about the opening of TWA, and the school’s leadership is committed to maintaining high standards of education throughout this transitional period. As construction progresses on the permanent facility, TWA aims to create a nurturing and inspiring environment where students can thrive.
