National Poetry Day Competition Winner

In celebration of National Poetry Day, students were invited by Librarian Miss Robinson to showcase their poetic talents. The competition saw a wonderful array of entries, but it was Om P from Year 8 who emerged victorious.

Om's winning poem, titled "Happy Boy," beautifully captures the essence of a friendly, smiling little boy who spreads joy with his contagious mood.

National Poetry Day, celebrated annually, is the UK's biggest mass celebration of poetry. It aims to promote the enjoyment and appreciation of poetry across the nation, with events taking place in schools, libraries, and cultural venues.

Om was visibly delighted with his win. He expressed great happiness and pride in being awarded first prize for his poem "Happy Boy." Receiving the poetry book, novel, and Amazon gift voucher added to his joy, making the moment even more special for him. His achievement has been celebrated by both his peers and teachers, who are all very proud of his accomplishment.

Congratulations to Om for his inspiring work and well-deserved win!
