Students Spread Christmas Cheer with Generous Donations

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, students from Thomas Clarkson Academy and The Wisbech Academy joined forces to support the Wisbech Fire Station Christmas gift appeal. The initiative aimed to spread Christmas cheer to those in need within the local community.

Students and their families generously donated a variety of gifts, including toys, games, crafts, and books. These thoughtful contributions will be delivered by the fire crew in their fire engine as Christmas approaches, ensuring that the presents reach their intended recipients in time for the festive season.

The project was organised by EAL (English as an Additional Language) teachers, who worked alongside students to collect the gifts. This initiative not only brought joy to the students but also highlighted their commitment and empathy towards others.

As part of the event, children had the exciting opportunity to see a fire engine up close and learn about the vital work that firefighters do. They were fascinated by the equipment and gained valuable insights into the skills and teamwork required for the job.

This collaborative effort has not only brightened the holiday season for many but also fostered a sense of community and understanding among the students.
