Children's Mental Health Week, an initiative launched by the children's mental health charity Place2Be, is set to take place from 3-9 February 2025. This annual event, now in its 11th year, aims to empower, equip, and give a voice to all children and young people across the UK.

Thomas Clarkson Academy is excited to announce the audition process for its 2025 Whole School Production of GREASE. The highly anticipated show will take place on July 16th, 17th, and 18th, 2025. Parents are encouraged to ensure their children are available for all performance dates before auditioning.
On Monday morning, Year 7 students took part in an informative session with Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service focused on community safety. The session covered crucial topics such as pedestrian safety, necessary safety equipment, arson and fire safety, and general tips for staying safe and protecting others in the local community.

Thomas Clarkson Academy is set to celebrate the festive season with a series of charity events on Wednesday, December 18th. Students are encouraged to participate in a Christmas Jumper Non-Uniform Day, with Year 8 students collecting donations during tutor time for Sarcoma UK. This charity is dedicated to supporting those affected by sarcoma, a rare form of cancer that can affect any part of the body. Sarcoma UK is the only cancer charity in the UK focusing on all types of sarcoma, funding vital research, offering support, and campaigning for better treatments. Each year, around 5,300 people in the UK are diagnosed with sarcoma.
Before we all break-up for the holiday, please make sure you have returned your books so they are available for other students to read.
All current loans are due in by Wednesday, December 18. Holiday loans can be arranged by asking at the library desk. This is available for renewals to keep your existing book over the break and for any new loans you wish to borrow.

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, KS3 students from Thomas Clarkson Academy and The Wisbech Academy are joining forces for a festive run/walk to raise funds for the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. The event will take place around the perimeter of the site designated for the new school sports hall, with students donning antlers as they complete their laps.
Thomas Clarkson Academy is excited to announce its annual Christmas Bonanza, set to take place on December 17th from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the school theatre. This festive event invites the community to celebrate the Christmas spirit with performances from students in the Expressive Arts Faculty.
The Cambridgeshire Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme is set to offer free holiday scheme places for eligible primary and secondary school children and young people during the upcoming Christmas school holidays. Funded by the Department for Education, the programme will run from 23 December 2024, providing up to 16 hours of free attendance at registered holiday schemes.
